Ammon losing 2 teeth

When we dropped Ammon off at camp he had 1 bottom adult tooth, and 1 loose tooth on the bottom.
When we picked him up from camp he had 2 bottom adult teeth, he had lost a baby tooth and 1 very loose, barely hanging one baby tooth.

He lost his tooth Monday as he was walking to the pool. He said it just feel out and he felt it in his mouth. Aunt Fifi gave him a quarter for losing his tooth. He put it in a plastic bag to bring home, but it got lost during the week.
Saturday when I picked him he also had a very loose baby tooth. He said it had been loose since Tuesday but just wouldn't fall out. That night we told him it would probably fall out in his sleep because it was so lose, so he worked at it and it feel out.

He was super excited to not only lose 2 teeth in 1 week, but to get rewarded by the tooth fairy for both teeth on the same night.
His bottom teeth are so tight that there is only room for 2 adult teeth to come in, not the 3 that have fallen out. Time will tell what is going to happen with his tight little mouth and big adult teeth. One thing we do know for sure-braces are definitely in his future!!

Ammon's 6th birthday

Today has been a great day to celebrate our sweet, full of life Ammon's 6th birthday!! Last night the 3 big kids had a sleepover in the basement. This morning when he woke up he stayed downstairs to watch Simeon play the Wii. When we asked him if he wanted to see his presents, he came running up stairs, looked at them and then something more interesting caught his eye.

The electricians working in the kids bathroom. He stood in the hallway watching them for 10 minutes before he even came back to the table to look at his presents. He saw his new bike helmet that he had needed and wanted for months. He also got a Zhu Zhu pet DS game and a 1,000+ piece army lego set.
For breakfast he wanted very berry muffins. I had to get up and get them going quickly because the electricians were also going to be working in the kitchen and turning off the electricity for a while.

We played at home in the morning, then for lunch we headed to Hu Hot. After lunch we went to the Coralville Aquatic center to swim. Today was hot and sunny, so it was the perfect day to swim. He had such a great time swimming under the water with his goggles and playing with dad who took the day off to spend it celebrating with us.
After we dropped Simeon & dad off at their game and went to Wendy's for a frosty and dinner. While Ammon was eating his hamburger with pickles, he noticed that he had a gap on the bottom row of teeth.

His loose tooth had fallen out while he was eating. He was so super excited that he ran to dad in the dugout to show the gap to dad. What a neat thing to have happen on your birthday!! Since he was eating when it fell out, he probably swallowed the tooth because we never did find it.

It was such a fun day celebrating this special day with Ammon. He puts so much of himself into everything he does. He has such a strong spirit within him. He is wildness and sweetness wrapped up with love. He loves to be going, but then will sit for hours playing with legos or action figures. He has an amazing imagination and loves to play knights, dragons, army or house. He strongly states he doesn't like girly things, but will sit next to Corrine and watch a princess movie with her, or play Littlest Petshop with the girls. He has an amazing memory and loves to learn about new things. He is such a wonderful full of life kiddo that I am so excited to have the privilege of being the mother to. I love you Ammon Eli. Happy Birthday sweet boy!

Another lost tooth for Corrine

Corrine's front tooth had roots of steal!! It's been loose for weeks or even close to 2 months, but it just wouldn't fall out. She could push it back to the roof of her mouth, pull it forward, even twist it and it would cling on for dear life.
Her gum above it was getting bruised and the tooth was turning grey because it was so dead, so we decided the tooth had to go.

Papa tried pulling it out-didn't work. Mom tried pulling it out-no luck. Dad tried pulling it out-still stuck. Corrine gave it another shot-but it wouldn't come out.
So out came the needle nose pliers. Papa held her head still and dad used the pliers. It took some prodding to get Corrine is go for it. After the 1st try and realizing it didn't hurt she was ready for dad to keep pulling. It took a couple pulls, but then her tooth finally let go of it's last root and feel out.

Dad said since it took pliers to get the tooth out, the tooth fairy would give her more money! She liked that idea. She wrote a note to the tooth fairy telling her that it took pliers to get it out, to make sure she got her extra reward!

Since her front teeth came in she's always had a gap between her front teeth. That gap is much bigger now with a tooth missing. I wonder if it's gone for good now since her front teeth will be bigger then the baby teeth were. The gap being gone is just another sign showing Corrine is growing up.

Corrine's lost tooth count stands at 3.
