This evening was such a special day for Simeon. He got baptized!! This is something that he has talked about for years. He has been ready for quite sometime to make this important step in his life.
When he got sick with leukemia we talked about how he would probably have his port in when he got baptized, and to be honest we weren't given any guarantees that he would be healthy enough to make it to this day. So needless to say there were tears of joy and gratitude for what he was doing, and also for his health and strength.
Simeon also received his own set of scriptures with his name engraved on them. He knew he was getting them and was so very excited for them.

Yay, a new post from Kari! I know you've been busy getting ready for the baby and entertaining company but it's good to hear from you again. I know I see you at least once a week, but the blog posts are always fun to read. It was such a special baptism. I thought it was neat that he's the fourth generation of Smith's to be baptized in that font. Congratulations, Simeon! We sure are proud of you.
