Raingutter Regatta

Tonight was the once rained out, twice postponed raingutter Regatta for Cub Scouts. The original date was when we were out of town, so we didn't think Simeon would get to do it.
When we got back from our trip we found out it was scheduled for a day we could come to. But that also meant that the other boys probably already had thier boats ready and Simeon didn't.

Simeon had some trouble with his boat. First he lost the rutter. Then he lost his motivation to do anything to his boat. So in the end his boat was plain wood with a "Y" for BYU and "C" for Cubs that he took something and etched into the wood. He did get a plastic rutter from a friend.

The 1st race his boat went more sideways then straight and then it just fell over. Blowing a ship that's laying on it's side is very hard, so he lost that race. Later races he claimed victory, and in the end he came in 5th place. He was a good sport about it and enjoyed the night.

Too bad he didn't have more time on his boat. Way to go Simeon on not giving up.
