Somebody Loves You

Today the 3rd/4th grade classes put on a play called "Somebody Loves You" at school. It was based off a book Somebody Loves You Mr. Hatch and made to fit thier group. Simeon was in a group who ate brownies, and didn't have any lines during the play-but he did get to dance on stage!

The play was about a groucy lady who didn't have any friends. One day the mail lady delivered a package with a red heart candy box in it, and a letter that read "Somebody Loves You". The lady was so excited that someone loves her and she wants to know who it is. She starts being nice to others and helping them out, and everyone around her is nice back. Then the mail lady comes and says that she delivered the candy box to the wrong person and she needs it back. The lady gets sad and stops being nice to others because she thinks nobody loves her after all. All her new friends miss her smile and friendship, so they throw a party for her and show her that lots of people love her.

At the end of the play they sang the song "Put A Little Love in Your Heart" and had a slide show.

Corrine's class happened to sit right by us, so Rebecca went and sat with her during most of the play. Corrine looked super excited to have her sit with her and Rebecca liked all the attention from the kids.
