LaJolla Shores Beach

This was Ammon's 1st experience at the beach, and he LOVED it!! All the kids did. We met Aunt Laurie, Sam, Jake and Uncle Jake and Aunt Mandy there. The day was sunny and warm, but the water was a bit chilly. The kids had so much fun playing in the sand and getting covered in it. Corrine discovered how easy it was to draw in the sand, and made hearts with CKS in them all over the beach. Ammon took a ride on a boogie board, but dad was too heavy for it in the shallow area.
We were paranoid of Simeon's cast getting wet, so we put a plastic bag over it, and taped it to his shirt and bag, then packing taped it completely. It stayed dry and clean on the outside, but the condensation from his own body made it get damp on the inside. We decided next time to put a washcloth around his hand to soak up the moisture. He really wanted to go in the water, and would stand there with his arm over his head just watching dad out in the water with Ammon. Johann came and carried him out one time and held him above the waves so his cast would stay dry.
