Tasty Belly Buttons

This fall Simeon started participation in the library's performance group called Kidspectacular. They meet once a week after school for a few hours and work on the plays that they perform throughout the year.
THe 1st play they did was "Tasty Belly Buttons". It was a compilation of a few different folk tales from Japan. Simeon tried out for the Old Man and got the part. It was a small yet significant roll at the beginning of the play.

He practiced hard and knew his lines by heart, but then 3 days before the performance they found out that the old woman, who Simeon exchanged most of his lines with, wouldn't be there for the performance. So the day before his lines were changed.
He looked so cute in his costume with his beard and glasses. He was nervous for the play, and spoke softly, but he knew almost all of his changed lines. We were very proud of him and the hard work he put into the play.
