A few weeks ago I posted that I wanted a fire fighters jacket for Ammon on Freecycle. A lady emailed back that she had a firefighter jumpsuit that he could have. After a few attempts to meet and pick it up, we finally got it.
Ammon was so excited that he put it on as soon as we walked in the door. He also got a hat with a siren and light on the front, that sounds like a real fire truck siren.
To complete the firefighters outfit, he wears boots (if he can wear Simeon's black winter boots he will), gloves-they don't have to match, his firefighter backpack, which can really squirt water -but he doesn't know that fact, and goggles.
Some firefighter facts that Ammon tells me:
*The firefighters wear turnout coats.
*Their jackets are made out of Nomax
*Their jackets are both waterproof and fire resistant
*They have hoses hooked up to their firetrucks
*The hose on top can go (spray) a 1,000 feet
*Firefighters live in the fire station when their on duty
*To call the fire fighters you dial 119, then he quickly says I mean 911
On any day you can find a fire fighter running around the house keeping us safe.

WOW, that's a great fireman suit!! I wish we lived closer... Sam and Ammon could play firefighter together! We went on a fire station tour a few weeks ago and they let the boys use the big water hoses!!
That picture is too cute!!! I'm impressed with all of his fireman facts. So, how many times have you visited the fire station? I'll bet he's in heaven there and could probably give the tour himself.
